Alicen: Over the years my own relationship with the faeries has deepened and with this bond and increasing belief, my experiences of the faeries’ realm become more frequent.

My own faerie experiences have become so common, in fact, that not a week goes by without encountering a faerie-happening in some shape or form. However, just a little word of caution here: the fey are known to be extremely private and secretive people and they like to guard their ways and whereabouts most closely.

Faeries do not take kindly to their magical moments with you being divulged or boasted about. It is perfectly acceptable to tell of a faerie experience if you genuinely feel that it will benefit others or it will help someone who is open to such things to know the faeries more intimately, by inclusion in a book or a work of art, for instance. However, the vast majority of my encounters with the faeries are kept between the fey and me and will never, ever be told to a third party. Always think twice before telling a faerie secret, for if shared unwisely, it could be your last one. Treat them with respect and love and you will have a lifetime of wonderful faerie encounters – such as this next story, which was kindly emailed to us for inclusion in this book.
